SAMBA DRUMMING
Students will be exposed to the infamous Carnival musical style of Rio de Janeiro through song, dance and rhythm. Instructor Rudy Slizewski learned the same rhythms in Brazil and will lead your children on an experience of musical and cultural awareness, inspiration and fun! Ages 7 to 14.
Dates: June 28 to July 1; and August 23 to 26. Two half-day camps available: 9:00 – 12:00 and 1:00 – 4:00 OR combine camps for a full day of fun! Different songs and compositions will be covered in the morning and afternoon camps. The week will end with an outdoor performance for family and friends.

What kid doesn’t want to be a rock star? In this camp your child gets to unleash her inner rocker! Campers get a chance to work with all rock band instruments, work in small and larger groups, pick a song to learn, choose a band name, and design a logo. Experience on an instrument not required. The week will end with a live performance by your newfound rocker’s band! Ages 7 to 14.

What is a boom whacker? A hollow plastic tube tuned to a specific note – you whack it and you make music! It’s a great way to play music with other kids and it is loads of fun! Ages 5 to 11.

GROW A MUSICIAN This all around music camp is a fun way to introduce music to your child. Campers play games, have a musical carnival, and create daily musical crafts and learn the about the essential music foundations – singing, rhythm, ear training, musical styles, composer history! SOUND EXPERIMENTS Campers learn the secrets of how science and music combine for a world of fascinating fun! Spend the day experimenting with resonating crystal bowls, drums, pianos, violins & a water glass orchestra! PIANO EXPLORERS Piano Explorers takes Grow a Musician and builds on it. Campers learn note identification, play rhythm games, and learn to play the piano.
